Piume, paillettes, ironia e seduzione in riva al lago: la tre giorni burlesque che cambierà il volto della città.

La Champagne Production ha organizzato per il secondo week end di settembre l’evento che trasformerà la città di Como: la prima edizione di un festival internazionale di burlesque che animerà il centro lacustre con uno spirito vintage, ironico e seducente.

Si inizierá con la serata inaugurale nell’insolita e suggestiva location delle Casermeper il “Vintage Party”, occasione unica per sfoggiare abbigliamento e costumi da bagno vintage a ritmo di surf-rock, rockabilly con la Dj Boogie Rose.
Dodici performer giungeranno dai quattro angoli del globo per contendersi il titolo di “Reginetta del lago”: una sfida a suon di Bump ‘n Grinds e Shimmy Shakes che si terrà la sera del 13 settembre allo Spazio Gloria, in via Varesina 72. Dopo l’incoronazione la serata proseguirà con il divertentissimo Vintage Party organizzato in collaborazione con la consolidata comunità swing di Como (Swing Crash): ci si potrà così scatenare al ritmo di swing ed electroswing.

Per tutta la durata del festival, ed in particolare il 12 settembre durante la manifestazione “Burlesque in the City” la cittá sarà animata da numerosi eventi collaterali in collaborazione con negozi e locali del centro, senza contare le divertenti serate vintage. Da non perdere l’occasione di cimentarsi nel burlesque a tutti i livelli nelle lezioni che affermate artiste terranno alla Palestra Cento suddivise in 8 divertentissimi Workshop.

Oltre alle 12 artiste internazionali in gara, il festival vanta anche importanti collaborazioni: i membri della giuria saranno Peggy de Lune, Dixie Ramone e Scarlett Martini, Hélène Phillips di Burlesque Bible Magazine, Barbara Minghetti presidentessa del Teatro Sociale e dell’As.Li.Co.; presentatore della gara sarà l’attore comasco Stefano Annoni. Guest stars: Grace Hall e Alan De Bevoise. Sul palco anche Miss Sophie Champagne, performer, titolare della Champagne Production e direttrice artistica dell’evento.

Como Lake Burlesque Festival

First edition: 11th, 12th, 13th of September, 2014

Champagne Production presents: three days of Burlesque in Como

The second weekend of September, Como will be transformed: a vintage atmosphere will take hold of the city, together with irony, glamour and seduction, hosting the first edition of an international burlesque festival.

Starting with the opening “Vintage Pool Party” on the lake, in the historical location Lido di Villa Olmo dancing on surf-rock and rockabilly music with Dj Boogie Rose.

Twelve performers from all over the world will fight – exchanging bump ‘n grinds and shimmy shakes – to win the title of “Queen of the lake” : the competition will take place on the 13th of September at Spazio Gloria (via Varesina 72) where, on the same night, the Como’s swing community (Swing Crash) will host a Vintage Party on the rhytms of swing and electroswing.
During the three festival days the city will host numerous events in cooperation with shops, bars and clubs of the centre: countless will be also the vintage nights and evenings.

The fitness club Palestra Centro will host all the burlesque lessons and workshops (for all kind and level of performer) held by the most known and renowned burlesque stars.
While waiting to have all the complete list of all the performers that will take part to the competition (subscriptions allowed until the 15th June), the festival can count on some important names. The members of the jury: Peggy De Lune, Dixie Ramone and Scarlet Martini, Hélène Phillips owner and editor of Burlesque Bible magazine, Barbara Minghetti president of Teatro Sociale and As.Li.Co., the guest of the night, Stefano Annoni, actor, and other guests such as Grace Hall and Alan De Bevoise. On the stage also Miss Sophie Champagne, manager of the Champagne Production and producer of the event.
